Conor & Catherine's Bathroom

Our clients for this project had put up with a cramped ensuite that had no natural light and a small shower. With limited space available and not wanting to steal too much from the master bedroom, Conor and Catherine came to Ribble Valley Bathrooms for our design service

The Brief

The design brief was to create a functional and spacious ensuite area, with a large shower that had a boutique hotel feel. With limited space to play with, we designed an open plan ensuite. A stud wall was created to hide the Duravit wall hung WC so that it couldn’t be viewed from the bedroom. To offer plenty of neat storage, we opted for Catalano Sfera 60 handless, push click mechanism, two drawer vanity and teamed this with the beautiful recessed Royal Lumos mirror cabinet by Keuco. A matt black Zehnder Subway Towel Rail was positioned between the shower and vanity and we designed a 1200x900mm walk-in shower with flush to floor Fiora shower tray.

Boutique Feel

To create privacy from the bedroom we opted for a Merlyn bespoke showerwall with matt black profiles and frosted glass. Zucchetti matt black brassware featured throughout the ensuite which popped off our hexagonal matt white tiles, we teamed the hex tiles with a dark grout to dramatise the room. The wood effect floor tile was also used in the shower niche for contrast and to add a touch of warmth to the room. To add to the boutique feel, the WC area was then wall papered with Milton and King’s Dark Exotic Kingfisher.

“The showroom has some lovely fittings and Sophie gave us some great suggestions. We have visited other local bathroom showrooms previously but never been impressed or inspired. Ribble Valley Bathrooms is definitely a cut above the rest!” ~ Conor & Catherine
